Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Mat Pilates Instructor to join our dynamic health club team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness, with expertise in Pilates instruction, and a commitment to helping clients improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. Duties

Lead and instruct group Mat Pilates classes tailored to various skill levels, ensuring proper technique and safety. Develop and modify Pilates programs that incorporate principles of body mechanics, physiology, and anatomy knowledge to meet individual client needs. Educate clients on proper breathing techniques, core engagement, and movement patterns to enhance performance and prevent injury. Assist clients with personalized training plans that align with their fitness goals, including integration of related disciplines such as yoga, dance, or CrossFit when appropriate. Promote a positive class atmosphere that encourages participation, motivation, and progression. Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure the studio environment is safe and welcoming for all participants. Stay current with industry trends in group fitness, sports coaching, and health club best practices to continually improve class offerings.

Skills

Proven experience in teaching Pilates, with additional skills in group fitness instruction or personal training preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to Pilates and general fitness training. Familiarity with other disciplines such as yoga, cycling, kickboxing, or CrossFit enhances program design capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of clients. Ability to design engaging workout programs that cater to various fitness levels while emphasizing safety and proper technique. Experience in fitness sales or promoting membership packages is a plus but not required. Passion for health and wellness with a commitment to helping clients achieve their fitness goals through effective teaching methods.
