What You Bring to the Table

Expert-Level Skill

-- Advanced knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, drivability, transmission, and engine diagnostics.

Quality of Workmanship

-- You hold yourself to the highest standards, ensuring every repair is completed with accuracy, care, and integrity. You never "just get it done" -- you get it done right*.

Experience & Certification

+ GM Certified or ASE Master Technician status preferred (but not required).
+ Minimum

5 years

of professional experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.

Problem-Solving Ability

-- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to efficiently identify issues and recommend proper repairs.

Technical Aptitude

-- Proficiency with GM diagnostic systems, tools, and digital service platforms.

Communication & Teamwork

-- Able to clearly explain findings and collaborate effectively with Service Advisors and other technicians.

Efficiency & Productivity

-- Proven ability to manage time, maximize flag hours, and maintain high CSI scores.

Continuous Learning

-- Commitment to staying current with evolving vehicle technologies and participating in manufacturer training.

Professionalism & Reliability

-- Dependable, punctual, and committed to representing the Preston brand with excellence.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

GM Certification

- Strong familiarity with GM systems, platforms, and repair processes a huge plus*.

CDK Experience

- Preferred but not required; we'll train the right candidate.

Education & Licensing

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Automotive technical school or ASE certification preferred. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
