Your Impact
Translate job travelers and drawings into precise setups and smooth execution on vertical CNC mills.
Set the pace for quality by conducting required checks and confirming parts meet every specification.
Keep the team equipped--tools, gages, fixtures, and materials--so each Maker starts strong.
Audit standard work and process control plans; correct and coach when you find gaps.
Lead scrap reviews, identify root causes with 5 Why, and lock in countermeasures.
Track quality, safety, and productivity daily; intervene early when performance drifts from plan.
Champion QEK ideas and support Kata walks to reduce rework and boost metal removal rates.
Drive 6S discipline and verify daily checklist completion to keep the environment safe and organized.
Act as the technical point person--troubleshoot, remove blockers, and escalate issues to maintain schedule integrity.
Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager and Production Scheduler to align workflow to the ERP master schedule.
Coach, train, and mentor Makers; provide performance insights and suggest targeted skill development.
Support updates to process controls and procedures to stabilize and improve outcomes.

What You Bring
High school diploma or GED.
Strong command of precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers (including intra-mics), and gauges.
Experience thriving in a high-mix precision machine shop.
Hands-on success setting up and operating vertical CNC milling machines.
Mastercam programming and troubleshooting background preferred.
Exposure to Lean and regulated quality systems preferred (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, AS9100D).
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
Comfort using material handling equipment, including forklifts.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Computer literate; Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) experience preferred.
Skillful at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
