Job Description

Position Summary



The Master Scheduler leads the scheduling team and manages production planning across multiple sites. This role ensures alignment between demand, capacity, and material availability, oversees MRP systems, and coordinates tooling and shared resources to support efficient and timely manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Lead and develop a high-performing scheduling team, ensuring the right people are in the right seats. Provide daily coaching and guidance to encourage ownership, accountability, and growth. Develop and manage the master production schedule based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and material availability. Analyze sales forecasts and production capacity to proactively communicate scheduling impacts, constraints, and opportunities to the sales team and Prinsco leadership. Oversee MRP processes, including system planning parameters, coverage groups, and restocking point maintenance, to ensure accurate material availability and efficient production scheduling. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and manufacturing to establish production schedules and resource plans that best serve customer needs and optimize operational efficiency. Oversee coordination of tooling and shared resources across multiple plants and production lines to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Communicate regularly with plant teams and material/consumables buyers to align purchasing decisions with production requirements and demand signals. Support or lead project teams on improvement initiatives. Focus on cross-training, continuous learning and improvement. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications



Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of production and planning experience required, preferably in plastics extrusion manufacturing. Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts/drawings to support valid conclusions and to solve practical problems or deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry, applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Proficient with MS Office products & MRP planning systems such as MS D365 Honest and fiscally responsible.
