Position Overview





The Maryland Credentialer & RBT Path Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring all Move Up ABA providers remain in active, billable status with Medicaid and other insurance partners while supporting Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) through every step of their professional development.



This position manages all aspects of provider credentialing and recredentialing in Maryland's EPREP system, coordinates RBT certification and renewal workflows, and ensures compliance with payer and Board requirements. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask across multiple systems while supporting both new and existing providers.



This is a remote position that requires consistent communication, follow-up, and collaboration with internal departments and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities




###

Credentialing & Compliance (Maryland and Multi-State)




Manage all Medicaid credentialing and recredentialing for providers through the Maryland EPREP system. Process new affiliations, revalidations, and disaffiliations, ensuring timely updates to maintain active billing eligibility. Track and troubleshoot EPREP application errors and disaffiliations that could impact provider billable status. Maintain ongoing communication with EPREP, Medicaid, and insurance payers to resolve issues and confirm status updates. Collaborate with the billing company's credentialing department to ensure all contracts, CAQH updates, and payer enrollments are processed promptly. Assist with contracting and credentialing for commercial and Medicaid partners in Maryland, Virginia, and additional expansion states. Work with internal Accounting and Operations teams to ensure contracted rates and effective dates are accurately updated in company systems.

RBT Path Coordination




Coordinate and track all RBT initial and renewal applications to ensure timely submission before expiration dates. Schedule and track competency assessments in collaboration with supervising BCBAs. Assist candidates with BACB application submission, attestation forms, payments, and test setup. Monitor application progress on the BACB website and submit Supplemental Applications as needed. Track each RBT's standing until the BACB account is current and approved. Maintain ongoing communication with candidates to provide guidance, troubleshoot barriers, and ensure the successful completion of each phase in the RBT Path. Coordinate additional training needs or test prep resources as appropriate.

Provider Management & Collaboration




Verify that all providers assigned to clients are credentialed, in good standing, and billable in EPREP. Manage disaffiliations for termed employees and ensure EPREP records reflect current affiliations only. Partner with the Onboarding and Scheduling Teams to ensure credentialed providers are appropriately staffed on cases. Collaborate with Billing, HR, and Clinical teams to align credentialing timelines with operational readiness and payer requirements. Track and maintain data across multiple systems, including EPREP, Central Reach, Monday.com, and Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications




Required: Maryland EPREP credentialing experience (minimum 1 year). Prior experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance credentialing required. Familiarity with BACB certification processes for RBTs and BCBAs. Strong knowledge of CAQH, NPI, and payer enrollment workflows. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong follow-through and accountability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and Central Reach preferred. High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple concurrent applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide candidates and interface with payers.
