About Us

Pre K International is an early childhood education center located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, dedicated to providing equitable learning experiences for children ages 2 to 5. We serve a diverse community of families and emphasize educational quality, family engagement, and accessible transportation for all students.We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to support enrollment growth, community outreach, and brand awareness. This role is ideal for a college student studying marketing, business, communications, or digital media who wants real-world experience in local outreach and digital strategy.

Position DetailsTitle: Marketing Intern

Location: 11 Mills Street,

Kalamazoo, MI 49048

Schedule: 12-15 hours per week, flexible (hybrid or on-site)

Compensation: $16 per hour + performance incentives

Duration: 3- to 6-month internship, with potential to extend or transition to part-time staff

Key Responsibilities

Assist with creating and scheduling social-media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Google Business).

Design simple flyers, parent newsletters, and outreach materials using Canva or similar tools.

Support marketing campaigns promoting free transportation, DHHS subsidies, and new enrollment openings.

Help manage and update digital listings (Google Maps, Brightwheel, child-care directories).

Coordinate photo/video content showcasing classrooms, staff, and community partnerships.Attend or help organize community events and open houses to promote enrollment.

Track inquiries and assist with monthly marketing performance reports.

Collaborate directly with the Executive Director and external marketing partners.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a marketing, business, communications, or graphic-design program (WMU, KVCC, or equivalent).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable using social media platforms and Canva or Adobe Express.

Organized, reliable, and creative with an interest in early-childhood education.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Experience with photography, video editing, or paid-ad management is a plus (not required).
