Job Summary


The Marketing and Communications Specialist will work in collaboration with the Director to promote the JCC and its programs, classes & events through the creation and distribution of marketing materials to a variety of physical and digital platforms.

Essential Functions



Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills Possesses strong graphic design capabilities Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite Comfortable working on a Windows-based PC Highly organized with strong attention to detail Skilled in writing and editing clear, compelling copy Exhibits strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Well-versed in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others Able to work independently with efficiency and accountability Collaborates effectively with team members across multiple departments Maintains a thorough understanding of the JCC brand and consistently supports its mission

Required Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications or related field 1-3 years of experience in a marketing position Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information, including company accounts and payroll Excellent critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Outlook Personable, friendly, customer-focused demeanor Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with JCC members and staff

Preferred Qualifications



Experience with photography/videography strongly preferred Video editing skills Experience with WordPress Knowledge of and experience with Meta Business Suite, specifically Ads Manager platform Basic understanding of Jewish holidays and traditions

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
