As a Market Sales Executive for Drury Hotels, your primary goal is to generate revenue by selling guest rooms and meeting facilities. You will work under the general direction of Drury United and follow the sales approach, known as "The Sales Difference," to increase the company\'s overall revenue and market presence.

Your main responsibility will be to identify, develop, and maintain accounts within your assigned market area.

Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to client-facing sales activities. There may be occasions where you need to travel outside of your home city, which should not exceed 10% of your overall working time.

Team members who consistently meet performance expectations have the option to enjoy a hybrid work schedule, with two days per week dedicated to working remotely.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
  • Responsible for revenue growth from assigned accounts, including corporate/non-corporate opportunities and developing new business.
  • Manage local B2B partnerships and sponsorships with guidance from Manager, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales, and collaboration with Regional Managers
  • Maintain expert knowledge of market area demand generators and accounts, ensuring comprehensive account management and vertical saturation.
  • Leverage customer interactions to explore opportunities across all 150 hotels within the chain.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
  • Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of sales techniques and exhibits proficiency in professional business practices.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly in English.
  • Displays proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exhibits effective time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
Education
  • Requires a high level of knowledge, skill, and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of a four-year college degree.
  • A college degree related to sales and marketing is highly recommended and valued.
Experience
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in outside sales and account management, specifically with regional or national business-to-business accounts.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred, showcasing familiarity with the industry.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in the assigned vertical segment and a track record of success in market sales.
