Job Description

The Market Director of Sales is a critical leadership role in driving revenue performance across a designated group of hotels within a specific market. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, leading on-property sales teams, and building strong relationships with hotel ownership and key business partners.
Working closely with revenue, marketing, and operations teams, this leader ensures alignment and execution of commercial strategies across the portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hotel sales, excels in multi-property oversight, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This role reports to the Regional Director of Sales and provides direct guidance to Area Directors of Sales, Directors of Sales, and Sales Managers.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning, partnering with revenue management and hotel leadership to align with market trends and maximize profitability.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and market data to identify trends, adjust strategies, and capture new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners and asset managers, acting as the primary point of contact for all sales-related communications and performance reporting.
  • Lead and support hotel sales teams, providing strategic direction, daily operational guidance, and performance management to exceed sales goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits and coaching sessions to ensure adherence to brand sales standards, elevate team performance, and drive accountability.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving proactive sales efforts and securing new business.
  • Skilled in building and managing relationships with stakeholders, including owners, partners, and internal teams.
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning.
  • 4+ years of hotel sales leadership, ideally in a multi-property or corporate role.
