Marine Concepts

Basic

Installation, maintenance, and fabrication in relation to marine vessels. Complete and assist with parts replacement, and repair of marine vessels, machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment. Perform duties, such as working with a variety of tools, materials, and supplies autonomously and in assistance to other workers; cleaning and organization of work areas, machines, and tools.

Job Duties and Tasks for: Marine Technician Assistant

1)

Tend and observe equipment and machinery in order to verify efficient and safe operation.

2)

Examine and test boats, equipment, components, and parts for defects, and to ensure proper functioning.

3)

Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand tools or power tools.

4)

Install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand tools or power tools.

5)

Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.

6)

Detail, clean and apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts in order to prevent defects and corrosion.

7)

Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.

8)

Disassemble broken or defective equipment in order to facilitate repair; reassemble equipment when repairs are complete.

9)

Fabricate, assemble, restore, and maintain marine equipment, using hand tools, power tools, fiberglass, epoxy, paint, stains, cleaning agents, composites, metals, or other materials.

10)

Aid coworkers involved in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment, and machines.

11)

Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly, storage, delivery, or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment.

Job Duties may range outside of this listed scope.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
