Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.
What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Manufacturing Technician
A Manufacturing Technician works in the Hydraulic assembly room, building prosthetic knees and ankles.

Manufacturing Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $18.00 /hour
• Full Time and Part Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:30pm)

• Assemble components for prosthetic devices according to engineering specifications, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Operate and maintain assembly tools, fixtures, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Perform functional and pressure testing of hydraulic assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory compliance standards

Manufacturing Technician Qualifications:

• Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
• Can work in fast paced environment.
• A fast learner with a great attention to detail.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check.
