Job Description
Description: Seeking a 2nd shift Materials Supervisor to lead the logistics team within a premier manufacturer to ensure adequate materials are received and stored to support welding, fabrication, and other manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate ship-out activities
- Provide maximum on-time delivery of trailers & dollies to customers
- Coordinates all shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations
- Responsible for training and maintaining proper material shipping, receiving and storage processes
- Work with any vendor issues
- Maintain warehouse inventory
- Maintain production inventory control and support product inventory supervisor
- Provide training to direct team following OSHA rules and GD policies in the use of material handling equipment
- Oversee direct team equipment availability and maintenance
- Ensures compliance with the union contract
