Location Description: Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start. Responsibilities:
Post Consumer Brands has an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized individual seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This full-time position is responsible for operating and monitoring the production area to assure it is running correctly while adhering to quality and safety standards. We are currently looking to fill several Cereal Production positions at our Northfield Manufacturing Campus.

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts (beginning at 4pm, 4:30pm, or 5pm) following a 2-2-3 schedule (Week one: two days on, two days off, three days on. Week two: two days off, two days on, three days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work. Pay Rate: $23.69/hour + $1/hour shift differential in recognition of night shift
Job Activities & Duties
  • Operate, monitor, and change all equipment in the production area by following company procedures to assure it is running correctly.
  • Perform quality checks on raw ingredients, intermediate and finished products, and packaging materials with documentation.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areas.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
  • Record production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as required.
  • Maximize the efficiency of the Team and equipment by following production schedules.
  • Communicate with team members to stay up to date on important information, processes, issues, and concerns
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to business success through proactive involvement in lean initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects/assignments and training.
  • Help provide coverage for any Team Member during breaks/absence/vacation.
  • Participate in safety training and strictly follow safety policies, rules, and procedures.
Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:
  • Technical skills are preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn the operation of a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and think critically through a variety of problems
