What We Need:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team in Cedartown, Ga!

Utilizing knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, product design, materials and parts, fabrication and assembly processes, you will develop and refine production processes to improve labor performance, efficiency and profitability, by driving maximum ROI through rapid results.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify opportunities in manufacturing processes and methods resulting in improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Perform research, design and develop manufacturing processes for production flow, assembly methods and fabrication equipment in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
  • Initiate, drive and support operations continuous improvement strategies and lean initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and problem solving to support day to day operational needs.
  • Manage project timelines and execute actions to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Sales, customers, and members assisting in process and product improvement plans and status.
  • Influence product design for manufacturability
  • Eliminate waste and streamline flow and processes using lean methodologies.
  • Drive visual management into all aspects of manufacturing environment.
What You Have:
  • Must be able to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in engineering.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in process improvements resulting in improvements in labor performance, efficiency, and cost savings.

Proactively identifying and prioritizing opportunities for improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Communicating ideas and recommendations for improvement professionally and clearly to all levels of the organization. Managing projects to completion, meeting goals and budgets and effectively utilizing resources.
