Job Summary
The Manufacturing Material Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring shipments of raw materials and other products are received, inspected, and accurately entered into the ERP system. This employee is responsible for saw cutting raw materials to specified lengths and staging them for subsequent machining operations. Additionally, the Manufacturing Material Processing Technician performs vibratory finishing of machined parts, ensuring all components meet surface finish and deburring requirements prior to inspection or secondary operations. The role requires close attention to detail, adherence to process standards, and coordination with production and quality teams to maintain workflow efficiency and product integrity.
Duties
Receive raw materials on the loading dock from various logistics and trucking companies
Match receiving paperwork and Certificates of Conformance to work orders
Note any discrepancies in the ERP system and communicate internally as needed
Open, sort, inspect boxes, and stage materials for counting and inspection
Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
Prepare raw materials for production using band saws and chop saws
Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry
Perform vibratory finishing of machined parts using vibratory tumblers
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Skills
Experience with driving Fork Lifts
Basic understanding of a Machine Shop
Experience in Shipping
Good problem-solving skills
Basic shop math skills
Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools
Ability to make sound decision and accept responsibility
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Portrays a can-do attitude
Computer literacy
Read, write, understand English
