Job Description

We"re looking for a Manufacturing Estimator with strong industry experience to join our team. This position plays a key role in evaluating project requirements, analyzing costs, and developing accurate estimates for fabrication and manufacturing projects. The estimator will partner closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure precise, efficient, and cost-effective project execution.
What You'll Do
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Calculate costs for materials, labor, and equipment using specialized estimation tools and software.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and vendor pricing to prepare detailed and accurate cost projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather essential data and insights for estimates.
- Identify potential risks and contingencies that could impact costs or project timelines.
- Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns, proposals, and supporting documentation for management and client review.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Continuously look for ways to improve estimation processes, implement best practices, and stay current with industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or a related technical field preferred, (or equivalent experience).
- 7-10+ years of experience in manufacturing estimation or a similar role within a production or fabrication environment.
- Strong background in manufacturing - metal, steel, or industrial fabrication experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency with estimation and ERP software, as well as spreadsheets and technical documentation.
- Exceptional analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Strong negotiation skills for working with suppliers and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
