Collins Aerospace is seeking talented engineering students to join our organization in an internship capacity during the summer of 2026.
What You Will Do:

• Identify & implement shop floor process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs.
• Assist in creating and maintaining shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, process control, and tooling definition/requirements).
• The intern will be given a specific process improvement task to take ownership of, and progress to completion throughout their internship.
• Review and analyze work cell layout, process flow, material flow, to establish standard work.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvement.

What You Will Learn:

• Fundamentals of factory operation and pacing.
• Process improvement methodology (ideation to implementation) in a manufacturing setting.
• Project management in dynamic engineering situations .
• How to establish and maintain professional relationships in a working environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Enrolled in an engineering degree program, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
