Job Description

We're seeking a skilled

Machinist/Mechanic

to support the design, repair, and configuration of machinery and equipment used across our production floor. In this hands-on role, you'll collaborate with mechanical and application engineers, assist assembly and production teams, and ensure machines are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with company specifications. You'll also play a key role in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, fabrication, and upgrades.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachinist Duties



Operate manual machines including

Bridgeport

mills and

Okamoto

grinders for complex and simple tasks. Perform basic fabrication of parts and components for equipment repair. Maintain, upgrade, and modify hardware based on customer or engineering requirements. Repair or refurbish returned or existing products. Prepare equipment for customer demonstrations. Use

NetSuite ERP

to track and remove inventory items used during repairs. Implement preventative measures to reduce machine downtime. Troubleshoot electrical controls and perform basic diagnostics. Maintain detailed service and repair records. Analyze machine test results and adjust settings to meet specifications. Uncrate large equipment and set up for operation; recrate equipment for outbound shipments.

Mechanic Duties



Repair and maintain a variety of shop floor equipment, including

CNC machines

, assembly presses, and progressive die presses. Install and repair complex mechanical systems; perform wiring and electrical troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with all safety standards (LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, working at heights, spill containment, etc.). Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment. Diagnose equipment malfunctions through visual and audible cues. Run diagnostic tests to ensure mechanical and system functionality. Repair or replace faulty machine parts; perform emergency repairs as needed. Select appropriate materials and components based on repair or build needs. Maintain spare parts inventory. Align, level, and calibrate machine components. Report project status and document maintenance activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required/Preferred Skills



Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair ability. Basic electronics and controls knowledge. Electrical wiring and troubleshooting experience. PLC familiarity (preferred). Understanding of pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Root cause analysis and corrective action experience. Strong vendor communication skills. Machine shop skills, including fabrication and welding. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.). CAD experience (preferred). Experience with

NetSuite ERP

(a plus). Reliable, organized, team-oriented work ethic.
