Job Description

This role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You'll lead projects related to Lean initiatives, equipment upgrades, and process optimization.
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer include:

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Manage updates to existing processes for new product launches.
  • Review part prints and ensure design for manufacturability.
  • Create cost comparisons and ROI calculations for supplier selection.
  • Act as subject matter expert for interdepartmental projects.
  • Standardize processes and documentation for quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with quality teams to create control plans and checks.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel.
  • Maintain process documentation and generate performance reports.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve process-related issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for failures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering for equipment changes.

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Ability to read prints and understand GD&T.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience leading Kaizen initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
