Job Description

The Process Engineer will develop, qualify, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to ensure high-quality output and reliable machine performance. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, training, and collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency and support growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Develop, qualify, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to improve quality, output, and machine reliability.
  • Approve process changes, mold protection adjustments, and cavity modifications.
  • Troubleshoot complex molding issues beyond technician level and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production control to assign mold/machine combinations and maintain process documentation.
  • Train and guide molding technicians on best practices and process standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve "Run on Hold" rejects and maintain process windows for consistent performance

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics or related field (highly preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in plastic injection molding (flexible for strong candidates)
  • Hands-on approach; comfortable working on the production floor
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for molding processes
  • Ability to qualify molds and machines and optimize process windows
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with technical software; SolidWorks or CAD experience is a plus
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative with technicians and production teams
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strict safety standards
