Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to work at our location in Westminster, SC. This job is focused on CNC Machining and requires experience. The standard work week is Monday-Friday and relocation assistance is available.
Position Summary:
Horton's Oconee County facility recently announced intentions to expand the plant by an additional 100K square feet for anticipated market growth. To support this initiative, Horton just acquired an Ibarmia THC12 5-axis machining center to drive new business growth opportunities. In addition to this machine, within the last 18 months, Horton purchased new twin-spindle turning centers: Mori Seiki NLX2500 & Okuma LB4000EX. The Westminster plant is focused on growing CNC machining capability and capacity to strategically acquire new business. This role will receive general guidance from and report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The overall work scope includes defining and implementing plans that utilize personnel, facilities, equipment, and processes to achieve the desired quality and quantity of production at the most favorable cost. This position will also work directly with corporate MFG and Product Design to bring new product to market. This role will be uniquely positioned to collaborate on future machining strategies for the Oconee facility.
