Job Description

This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on optimizing CNC lathe operations to improve efficiency and quality within the manufacturing process. The position is based near Westlake, OH, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking composites manufacturer

• Develop and implement process improvements for CNC lathe operations to enhance production efficiency
• Analyze production data to identify areas for optimization and ensure quality standards are met
• Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve workflow
• Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new technologies
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all manufacturing processes
• Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies into the manufacturing environment
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to CNC lathe operations

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

• A strong educational background in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, particularly within the aerospace sector.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and process optimization.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in engineering and manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Expertise in CNC lathe operations and manufacturing processes
• Strong MasterCAM programming skillset
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in using technical software and tools for process analysis
• Engineering degree preferred but not required
