The Manufacturing Administrative Assistant requires an energetic, personable, and highly competent person that is professional and carries a positive attitude. They should have the ability to manage daily needs in a fast-paced and ever-changing manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Admin will provide support to the Operations & Manufacturing Managers and shop floor in a variety of different functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Responsible for assisting the Operations & Manufacturing Managers in various technical and administrative tasks.
2. Works with the Operations Manager on assigned special projects to improve all facets of the manufacturing process.
3. Maintains complete confidentiality of information and documents pertaining to company business, personally identifiable information (PII), and personnel matters.
4. Manages and organizes documentation of kaizens and be an effective team member on C&S team charters and kaizens.
5. Handles day-to-day administrative tasks in the shop, acting as liaison between production control and manufacturing.
6. Participates and leads 5S audits.
7. Aids the shop floor in 5S initiatives.
8. Supports managers with entering and updating employee points, time changes, and vacation approvals.
9. Assists in coordinating new hires' onboarding training plans.
10. Supports managers with employees review preparation and facilitation, such as scheduling and data organization.
11. Audits Time & Attendance system to ensure ERP system aligns for accuracy, and makes updates as needed.
12. Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
13. Supports in documenting Corrective Actions.
14. Provides communication on Efficiency.
15. Prepares the job split checklist for Engineering.
16. Participates and provides administrative functions for Manufacturing meetings.
17. Acts as a liaison for cafe vending services.
18. Manages projects and proactively prepares and plans time of seasonal/co-op employees.
19. Provides follow-up of Manufacturing Managers and CEL's projects special tasks.
20. Administers and updates documents.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma with 3+ years of office experience a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS AS FOLLOWS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communications skills including verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and organize incoming/outgoing correspondences.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability of basic math, algebra, and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Professional, very upbeat, and positive attitude.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Ability to organize and bring to completion multiple tasks and projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit for extended periods of time in while working on the computer.
