About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to perform complex setups and machining operations on a variety of components. In this role, you will ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, meeting stringent customer requirements. Your expertise in precision measurement and layout will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities

Execute complex setups and operate machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses, to create precision components. Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and instructions to plan machining operations and ensure accurate execution. Employ precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to tolerances. Maintain equipment through basic preventive maintenance and report any issues to the appropriate personnel. Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean workspace. Document all actions by completing thorough production and quality logs. Train and mentor other employees on equipment operation, print reading, and tooling selection.

Required Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in manual machining. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges).

Preferred Skills

Experience with rotating turbo machinery. Advanced rigging capabilities. Familiarity with turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
