We have an immediate need for a Manned AISR Field Network Engineer II with an active security clearance to become an integral part of our team! Please note that this is a position that deploys to overseas areas of operation (AOR) with frequent travel to remote/austere locations. Deployment will be at least 12 months in length.

Requirements

Essential Job Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Troubleshoot, identify, recommend courses of actions, and perform fix actions to rectify and/or improve existing operational performance degradation, system level vulnerabilities/deficiencies, and system level inefficiencies
  • Assist government customer in establishing, documenting, integrating, and maintaining recommended system level best practices, enhancements, and enterprise baselines
  • Assist government customer with ensuring all enterprise baseline, configuration management, and architectural documentation and drawings are accurately updated as required
  • Assist the government customer with deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of customer systems as required
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of customer assigned equipment
  • Conduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Actively identify program/system deficiencies to provide input on methods for the improvement of internal processes
  • Prepare required technical documentation support for, but not limited to technical management plans, status reports, troubleshooting aids, etc.
  • Follow established workflows for software, documentation, and process updates
  • Ability to work effectively with Employees and Management of all levels, to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking Military Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs)
Requirements Traits & Skills
  • Satellite system experience required.
  • Proficiency with RF signal flow and fault isolation required.
  • Experience with Satellite access techniques such as Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) required.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems administration required.
  • Working knowledge of routing and switching required.
  • Experience with HAIPE Type-1 encryption device configuration and operation.
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification IAT II required.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
  • Familiarity with US Military satellite communications systems, procedures, and practices a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Linux a plus.
  • Experience with multicast operations within a cisco environment a plus.
  • Familiarity with MPEG-TS Full-Motion video codecs such as H.264(AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) a plus.
  • Familiarity with Metadata handling to include KLV, CoT, MISB ST060.10, MISB ST0604.2, STANAG 4609, and SMPTE 336M-2007 a plus.
  • Candidate must possess an existing DoD Secret security clearance.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an engineering discipline and 2 years of relevant commercial/military Communications & Electronics experience, or;
  • Associates degree in an engineering discipline with 4 years of relevant commercial/military Communications & Electronics experience, or;
  • High School diploma and 7+ years of relevant commercial/military Communications & Electronics experience
Experience
  • Satellite system experience required

Certifications
  • DoD 8570 IAT Lv2 (Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP)

Travel
  • Deployment to overseas areas of operation (AOR) with frequent travel to remote/austere locations. Deployment is typically a minimum of 12 months.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements which include, but are not limited to, training, physicals, visas, etc.
  • Shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders
Salary Range: $200,000 - $225,000 annually.
