Managing Partner

athlete management, recruitment, transfers, and branding

, while also helping oversee systems, relationships, and organizational growth.

Role Overview

The Managing Partner will oversee

player operations and athlete services

, ensuring players are properly recruited, managed, promoted, and supported throughout their journey. This role blends

athlete relations, business leadership, and marketing coordination

, making it ideal for someone passionate about player development and opportunity creation.

This role works closely with ownership and may include

profit sharing or equity

for the right candidate.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlayer Management & Athlete Relations

Manage active player rosters across sports and programs Serve as a primary point of contact for athletes and families Guide players through recruitment, trials, transfers, tours, and placements Support contract processes, onboarding, and professional transitions Maintain long-term relationships with players before, during, and after placement
Player Recruitment & Transfers

Lead player recruitment efforts locally, nationally, and internationally Identify talent through combines, showcases, referrals, and scouting networks Coordinate player transfers, trials, and placement opportunities Communicate with teams, coaches, agents, and league partners Ensure accurate player documentation, eligibility, and readiness
Marketing, Branding & Promotion

Support and coordinate athlete marketing and branding initiatives Assist with social media content such as player spotlights, promotions, and announcements Oversee postings for upcoming events, combines, tours, and player signings Ensure consistent brand messaging across player promotions and organization platforms Collaborate with content, media, and marketing teams
Organizational Systems & Relationships

Ensure player tracking systems, databases, and communication systems are maintained Monitor timelines, deliverables, and player commitments Maintain strong relationships with partners, teams, sponsors, and organizations Support internal structure, workflows, and growth initiatives Help improve systems for scaling athlete services
Qualifications

4+ years experience in sports management, athlete representation, recruitment, or player operations Strong background in player relations and talent development Understanding of transfers, trials, and placement processes Experience with athlete branding or sports marketing preferred Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple players and programs simultaneously Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during events
