Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION:


The Command Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all communication operations, communication equipment, technology services and personnel of their assigned shift.


Education & Experience:



High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced Degree Associates or greater in EMS, business or leadership preferred. 5years of experience in an active communications center which dispatches Emergency Medical Services/Transport required. 3years of experience providing prehospital emergency medical care preferred. Experience in dynamic resource deployment preferred. Experience with CAD software and reporting preferred.

Certifications/ Licensure:



National Emergency Institute National Basic 911 required. National Emergency Communication Institute Emergency Medical Dispatch. National Emergency Communication Institute Emergency Medical Dispatch Instructor. Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 700, 800.

Knowledge & Skills:



Uses logic and reasoning to analyze, understand, and evaluate complex situations. Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches or solutions to a situation. Exercises appropriate judgment in establishing priorities. Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions. Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees at all levels, representatives from various departments, and outside agencies. Effectively responds to and resolves complex inquiries and disputes. Must be capable of demonstrating competence in the use of computer equipment and Microsoft Office.
