The CHA Security Manager oversees security operations for Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital. Ensures the protection of hospital premises, property, employees, patients and visitors. The Security Manager also assists the Senior Operations Leader with the development, implementation, and monitoring of security policies, procedures and programs for Coastal Healthcare Alliance and associated off site locations.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
License/Certifications: IAHSS Basic certification within six months of hire. IAHSS Supervisory and Safety certificates within one year of hire. Valid Driver's License. BLS Required. MOAB Instructor recommended.
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience and working knowledge of the healthcare security industry and management practices.
Demonstrates analytical skills necessary to be forward thinking, problem solving and ability to communicate professional reports using established metrics with hospital software systems.
Knowledge of governing codes, regulations, best practices, standards and guidelines governing the healthcare security industry.
Able to maintain a calming demeanor and make good judgements in a high pressure situations. De-escalation skills to minimize or eliminate escalating violence.
