Job purpose description:

As the R&D Manager for the Brunswick & Wiscasset factories in Maine, US, you\'ll play a pivotal role in leading a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in product life cycle management (LCM) and new product development (NPD). The purpose of your role is to support the overall business strategy by implementing changes to existing product assortments, ensuring a seamless supply chain, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality in line with our organizational goals.

With your extensive expertise and knowledge, you\'ll be the go-to person in the organization for all matters related to materials within the assigned area. This will be crucial in not only ensuring the efficiency and supply security of our existing product assortment but also guiding and shaping new product development projects to meet customer needs and market demands in an efficient and competitive manner.

In collaboration with a dedicated and multi-functional team, you\'ll be responsible for planning and prioritizing projects that align with the long-term business goals. This includes initiatives focused on cost of goods sold (COGS) reduction, dual sourcing, product updates, geographical expansions, and regulatory requirement updates, as well as new product launches. Your strong leadership skills will be instrumental in securing the necessary resources and competencies needed to execute these projects effectively.

Furthermore, you\'ll be actively involved in driving forward our sustainability and digitalization agenda, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the R&D team. This will not only contribute to our environmental commitments but also position M\xc3\xb6lnlycke as a forward-thinking industry leader.

At M\xc3\xb6lnlycke, customers are at the heart of everything we do, and your role as the R&D Manager will be pivotal in ensuring the team provides exemplary technical service to both internal stakeholders and external customers. Additionally, you\'ll be responsible for overseeing relevant design control activities and ensuring that all regulatory requirements and standards related to medical devices are adhered to, ensuring compliance and the highest levels of product safety.

With your academic background in engineering, preferably within Chemistry, and a minimum of 5 years\' experience in R&D activities from a regulated industry, preferably within the medical device sector, you possess the qualifications and experience necessary to excel in this role. Furthermore, your proven leadership experience, stakeholder management skills, and fluency in English will further enhance your ability to lead and inspire the team to achieve exceptional results.
