Manages and oversees all aspects of Packaging operations with focus on Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement; ensures that packaging activities are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with cGMP and SOP\xe2\x80\x99s; and ensures that Company and government compliance are adhered to.

• Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP\xe2\x80\x99s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\xe2\x80\x99s) and Batch Record instructions.
• Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments.
• Assures a timely and efficient flow of packaged products.
• Accountable for the results of a small-medium team.
• Provide recommendations for new equipment and processes that lead to an efficient and effective production environment. Continuously look for new, innovative ways to increase productivity and efficiency and decrease cost.
• Develop processes to meet changing business needs that are sustaining and adaptable.
• Assists Director of Production with department structure, development of packaging budget and long range plans to meet the required production levels of the packaging area; controls and manages the operating budget.
• Ensures that the implementation and documentation of packaging SOP and safety training are performed properly and on a timely basis.
• Ensures that SOP\xe2\x80\x99s are reviewed and updated as needed; and that all packaging processes are performed in compliance with cGMP, SOP, and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

• Requires Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, engineering or related field with a minimum of 5-7 years relevant progressive manufacturing, packaging engineering and/or leadership experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
