Position Summary:

Coordinates daily physician and advance provider recruitment operations and workflow monitoring such as performance management, scheduling, recruitment strategies, systems, and processes that result in the attraction and selection of the best talent. Responsible for hiring, orienting, developing/coaching, corrective action and performance evaluations for recruitment staff. Responsible for providing on-going guidance, education, and training to ensure standardization, consistency, and improve recruitment, selection, candidate management and hiring efficiencies. Coordinates recruitment activities for assigned areas of service including interviewing, scheduling, testing, and referring qualified candidates to hiring managers. Collaborates with Lee Physician Group (LPG) leadership, LPG department leaders, and HR to develop and monitor recruiting plans and strategies to achieve required staffing levels. Provides guidance and understanding of Lee Health recruitment and selection policies, procedures and employment laws to candidates and hiring managers. Actively participates in recruiting events, candidate database searches, promotional campaigns, job fairs/conferences and other programs to source, promote and attract the best-qualified candidates to Lee Health. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for hiring, orienting, developing/coaching, corrective action and performance evaluations for recruitment staff to support a high-performance recruitment team.
  • Effectively delegates and communicates duties, tasks, assignments and performance expectations to recruitment staff; monitors productivity of individuals and team members. Ensures employment related policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Participates in the development of strategic recruitment strategies and goals. Monitors, analyzes, and tracks as appropriate, progress and action plans related to recruitment key performance indicators or metrics (i.e., time-to-offer, posted positions, % filled, recruitment cycle times, vacancy rates, new hire turnover).
  • Assembles performance improvement project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and is responsible for documenting and monitoring recruitment processes; flow charts processes.
  • Develops tools and training materials that support the organization in selecting and retaining the best candidates. Provides guidance and understand of LMHS recruitment and selection policies, procedures and employment laws to staff, candidates and hiring managers.
  • Effectively coordinates recruitment activities for assigned areas of service including interviewing, scheduling, testing, and referring qualified candidates to hiring managers. Provides accurate and timely feedback to customers.
  • Collaborates with LPG leadership, department leaders, and/or advertising vendor to develop and monitor recruiting plans and strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
  • Actively participates in recruiting events, candidate data-base searches, promotional campaigns, job fairs/conferences, college recruitment and other programs to source, promote and attract the best-qualified candidates to LMHS.
  • Exercises judgment in building realistic solutions to problems and communicates openly with System Director regarding on-going issues or unresolved problems.
  • Builds strong relationships with nursing & allied health leaders to understand the business, challenges, expectations, and staffing needs. Communicates recruitment related information, measurement and outcomes as appropriate with hiring managers and staff.
  • Creates a strong service culture and promotes a spirit of teamwork; builds a strong team of recruiters with a service orientation that responds efficiently and effectively to customer needs. Responds to customer complaints and responds appropriately to issues/concerns.

Must have excellent interpersonal and written skills, positive attitude, be flexible, creative, and innovative and be able to promote and sell Lee Health to potential candidates. Some travel required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret recruitment data, business periodicals, Lee Health procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have ability to effectively negotiate, communicate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Experience and proficient use of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Internet).
