Manager, Search, Performance Solutions

Summary Description:

The Search Manager is a self-starter and highly driven individual who has the proven ability to manage an account team - including the Pod\xe2\x80\x99s book of business and the personnel that form the pod. This person is also responsible for managing key accounts within their pod, and for ensuring that team members are executing flawlessly to stated KPIs. The Search Manager oversees every aspect of the client management flow - from strategy definition to successful campaign execution and optimization. The team lead also serves as the first line of escalation within the pod and further escalates as necessary to the Director of Performance Solutions for Search.

Responsibilities:

Lead account team with the focus on key responsibilities that include but aren\xe2\x80\x99t limited to a) client strategy definition and execution; b) successful campaign optimization that drive results; and c) team managementClient Strategy:Campaign Optimization

Client Strategy

  • Multi-channel strategies that are aligned to client goals across Paid Search, Programmatic, Paid Social & Affiliate
  • Ensure that Paid Search strategies & plans are fully exhaustive and all-encompassing of strategies that are key to driving success for campaigns
  • Have a robust understanding of a full funnel strategy using different methods to drive key success metrics for clients.
  • Ensure consistency in end client reporting, Account Review templates, status call agendas and overall client engagement approach
  • Lead client relationship building, revenue growth and retention initiatives
Campaign Optimization
  • Drive flawless campaign execution and optimization
  • Ensure agreed upon KPIs are consistently met, according to the client\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9csource of truth\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Work with Director of Performance Solutions for Search to ensure consistent training on the latest paid search best practices and strategies are delivered
  • Own revenue forecasting and accurate budget pacing
People Development
  • Engender a culture among team members where they feel supported and open to express new ideas
Socialize client and pod KPIs among team members and champion diligence in driving towards these success metrics * Support team members on further developing required skills and competencies that promote mastery of their current role, while helping them strive towards their next developmental goal
  • Work with Director of Performance Solutions for Search to ensure staffing requirements are consistently satisfactorily met

Required Skills and Experience:

Candidate will have at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience managing a team and/or process directly/indirectly as well as advanced competency in Paid Search best practices. Successful candidates may bring experience from an agency, client, or consulting environment. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required.

Skills and Experience:
  • Exceptional Relationship Management: Strong in building trusting and lasting client relationships \xe2\x80\x8b
  • SEM Experience:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search and shopping campaigns.
  • Experience with Discovery, YouTube, PMAX. Amazon and Walmart campaigns a plus
  • Proficient in Google Ads, Bing Ads, SKAI (FKA Kenshoo), SA360, Amazon, Walmart, and Optmyzr.
  • Experience in Salesforce, Google Data Studio and/or DV360 a plus.
  • Analytical Skills \xe2\x80\x93 Analyzing and synthesizing information to understand issues and identify options. Able to translate business requirements into reporting/analysis requirements. Ability to utilize / expand prospective business models.
  • Technical Abilities - Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint 2007/2010. Ability to apply troubleshooting tactics to fix issues that may arise.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $99,360- $157,248 Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
