Job Description

The salary range for this position is $37.61 - $52.66 (Hourly Rate)



Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description




The

Manager, Interpreter Services

reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.


Assures that the standards of interpreter services meet hospital and accreditation standards. Responsible for providing supervision and leadership of interpreter operations. Identifies potential problems and/or opportunities for improvement in processes and personnel and communicates them to leadership. Maintains open lines of communication within the department and other departments of the hospital.

Responsibilities:



Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Interpreter Services department Manages all employees within Interpreter Services Department including job performance, scheduling, and education. Hires, orientates, trains, and re-trains all staff Helps to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Oversees the operations responsible for transporting patients to and from patient care areas Identify process improvement opportunities and manage employee relations issues Provides leadership and team support to hourly staff with training, supervision, motivation, and support to ensure team exceeds expectations set forth by administration. Maintain and promote open lines of communication within the department, other departments, and Senior Leader Responsible for departmental budget Evaluates and onboards new employees to make sure they meet the skill set of the Interpreter Services Department

Qualifications



Required:



Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years Health Care relevant supervisory experience OR associate degree and 10 years of supervisory experience Minimum "Superior" competency of the Official/Certified ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI). Bridging the Gap certification Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Preferred:



10 years Health Care relevant supervisory experience
