Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of restaurant management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service standards across casual dining, fine dining, or catering settings.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure optimal performance. Oversee food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety protocols to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and inventory control. Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and special events like banquets or catering functions. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimize profitability. Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all areas of operation. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in hiring processes including interviewing candidates for various roles within the restaurant team. Support culinary staff with food production, menu execution, and kitchen management as needed. Collaborate with management on budgeting, staffing schedules, and operational improvements.

Requirements



Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles, preferably with casual dining or fine dining backgrounds. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in supervising teams within hospitality or food industry settings. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required. Familiarity with food safety standards, inventory control, and kitchen management practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage challenging situations professionally. Experience in staff training & development, team management, and shift supervision. Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; previous assistant manager experience preferred. Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
