From day one, DCPCA been at the forefront of strengthening the District's primary care system. Through numerous advocacy efforts and resource development programs the organization has expanded and improved primary health care services for residents.
DCPCA is seeking a Manager, Health Program Initiatives. This position plays a key role in strengthening the healthcare workforce and advancing access to care for HRSA-designated special populations. This position supports Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Look-alikes by guiding workforce development efforts--including recruitment, retention, and health professions training--and managing initiatives in priority areas such as maternal health, intimate partner violence, and School-Based Health Centers.
The Manager provides technical assistance, training, and cross-sector collaboration to enhance primary care delivery, improve health access, and support care models that reflect the needs and values of communities with varied backgrounds and experiences. This role will also supervise and provide strategic guidance to the Specialist, Health Program Initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and programmatic objectives.
This position reports to the Director of Clinical Quality & Practice Transformation and follows a hybrid work model. Ideal candidates will be based in or near Washington, DC metro area as regular on-site collaboration and local travel (10-15%) is required. There will also be occasional requirements outside regular business hours during emergencies, trainings, or critical events.
