The Manager of Environmental, Linen, and Transport Services is responsible for the daily management and coordination of operations within the Environmental Services (EVS), Linen, and Patient Transport departments at CareWell Health. This position ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality support services that enhance patient care, promote staff satisfaction, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and infection control standards.
The Manager provides hands-on leadership, fosters a culture of accountability and service excellence, and supports CareWell Health's mission to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Essential Functions:
Environmental Services (EVS):
Plan, direct, and oversee all environmental services operations, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across all patient care and non-patient areas.
Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, New Jersey Department of Health, Infection Prevention, and OSHA standards.
Conduct routine inspections and implement quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations for EVS personnel.
Monitor supply inventory, purchase orders, and equipment maintenance to ensure cost-effective operations.
Linen Services:
Oversee linen distribution, collection, and inventory management to ensure consistent supply across the hospital.
Collaborate with contracted laundry vendors to maintain quality control, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
Monitor linen utilization and develop processes to reduce waste and control expenses.
Ensure proper handling and storage of clean and soiled linen in compliance with infection prevention standards.
Transport Services:
Supervise all patient transport operations, ensuring safe, timely, and courteous movement of patients, specimens, and equipment.
Develop performance benchmarks and monitor efficiency metrics such as response and turnaround times.
Provide ongoing training for transport staff on safety, infection control, and patient satisfaction standards.
Partner with Nursing, Ancillary, and Support departments to maintain seamless service coordination.

Minimum Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Management, Environmental Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management experience in healthcare environmental services, linen, or transport operations required.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, standing, and interaction throughout hospital departments.
Occasional lifting of supplies and equipment (up to 25 lbs).
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hospital environments.
Must be available for on-call duties, weekends, and emergencies as required.
