The Concessions Manager oversees the concessions operation at Thanksgiving Point, supporting our signature events including Tulip Festival, Luminaria, Cornbelly's, Imaginaria, and many more events. This role is responsible for event setup and breakdown, menu development, staffing, training, and financial reporting.


This is a full-time position with AM or PM shifts required based on events and business needs.


Responsibilities




Oversee daily concessions operations across multiple venues and events. Lead, train, schedule, and manage a team ranging from 35-80 employees. Ensure strong team performance by coaching, setting expectations, and holding employees accountable. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Coordinate setup and cleanup of concessions equipment and buildings for all events. Work with internal departments (facilities, events, kitchen, marketing, and others) to ensure operational support. Cleaning and maintenance of concessions equipment Monitor business levels, staffing, and product stock to support peak event periods. Assist in menu development, seasonal specials, and product offerings tailored to signature event themes and guest preferences. Oversee ordering, inventory management, and accurate inventory counting. Daily food prep and cooking as needed to maintain product quality and speed of service. Ensure all food safety, health, and sanitation standards are followed. Complete daily and weekly reporting as assigned. Drive continued improvement of systems, efficiency, and guest experience throughout the concessions department.

Qualifications


Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold a large team accountable. Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple venues and priorities. Prep and cooking experience with strong operational knowledge. Inventory management skills, including counting and ordering product. Outstanding customer service with a positive, professional attitude. Self-motivated, punctual, and reliable with strong follow-through. Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Willingness to learn and collaborate with multiple departments. Clean and professional appearance. Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs. Valid Food Handlers Permit. Must have current Drivers License * Ability to pass a background check and MVR
