MANAGER, COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?


Responsible for managing the Bank\'s community investment, community involvement, CRA, business development and volunteer programs. Responsibilities include maximizing benefit and exposure for the Bank for corporate contributions and sponsorships, promoting a comprehensive community involvement program among colleagues (e.g., internal programs, volunteerism and recognition), enhancing and expanding internal banking and community partner relationships and establishing qualifying standards and guidelines for potential recipients of company donations and contributions. Specific activities may include special events, receptions, seminars, dinners, business meetings and premium programs that have high level bank and/or client impact and exposure. Must be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act. Collaborates strategically across lines of business to develop and lead PBB Division migration of relationships both into and out of the Virtual Concierge. Acts as the leader in the group to assist in the development of Virtual Concierge Banking.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?


  • Develops and advises strategic community partnerships and involvement opportunities for the Bank. Maximizes benefit and exposure for the Bank for community investments, including charitable and affiliation corporate contributions.
  • Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community investments through the charitable and affiliations (GIFTS) database. Manages reporting capabilities of database, benefits fulfillment and compliance with Company policies regarding community investments.
  • Manages development and implementation of community involvement programs and events throughout the Bank, including annual workplace giving campaign, promoting volunteerism at all levels of the organization, volunteer recognition program and managing volunteer database.
  • Enhances and expands awareness and participation in internal community programs (e.g., Community Lending Program, Down Payment Programs,the annual workplace giving campaign, Reading is The Way Up, Dollars for Doers and Lunch/Learn).
  • Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community involvement through the volunteer database. Manages reporting capabilities of database. To include CRA service goals, productions goals and Fair and Responsible Banking goals
  • Maintains a proactive commitment to established bank programs, such as Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Affirmative Action.
  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
  • Completes all special projects as requested.
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.

  • Assist in leading or participate in planning and execution of Business Growth Strategy activities and projects that directly support or assist in implementation and optimization of efforts for growth opportunities in an assigned market \xe2\x80\x93 examples of this include launching of the Way Home Program in Los Angeles MSA.
  • Develop strategies to enhance sales in a designated market and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in Business Growth Strategy operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Establish relationships with external organizations that are aligned with the business growth strategy in an assigned market
  • Train, coach, and onboarding on new hires, and ensure employees are meeting company metrics.
  • Be the SME for Community Lending Division
  • Apply knowledge of CNB business, customers, and/or products/services/portfolios to synthesize data to \'form a story\' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective. Create presentations and deliver directly to internal and external customers.



WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in community involvement and/or event management in a corporate environment
  • Must be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act. Skills and Knowledge
  • An undergraduate degree in business, finance, marketing, communications or related field is preferable.
  • Excellent project management, analytical and written communication skills are required.
  • This professional must possess an interpersonal style that enables her or him to interface and effectively partner with peers and senior executives in the execution of job responsibilities.

Compensation
Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
