The Cloud Accleration team plays a critical role around the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Landing Zones for AWS, Azure, and GCP. The Landing Zones consists of account / subscription / project factories with tooling, automation, and guardrails to help teams utilize the cloud in an easy and safe manner.

The Manager, Cloud Acceleration will lead a diverse team of technologists as we work through account workflow optimizations, develop new tooling to make access and management easier for workloads in accounts, and run FinOps programs to help teams with cost visibility and optimizations. The Manager will partner with Engineering leadership to develop a roadmap to address Cybersecurity, networking, and usage best practices to accelerate teams to succeed in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership and drive the roadmap for the various cloud Landing Zones
  • Develop and execute FinOps-driven programs to educate teams on ways to monitor and efficiently use the cloud
  • Drive and deliver tools and self-service capabilities that allow teams to securely maintain their workloads in the cloud
  • Establish and maintain partnerships within the organization and internal customers to determine roadmap features
  • Drive initiatives to educate and amplify awareness on cost, reliability, and performance best practices in cloud-native platforms
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, 4+ as a leader
  • Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management tools, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Version Control, Testing Frameworks and DevSecOps with an eye on FinOps
  • Proficient with the management and designs of AWS Organizations / Control Tower and Azure CAF
  • Understanding of public cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) and fundamental components like Compute/Virtual Machines, Serverless, Storage, Databases, Identity and User Management, etc.
  • Ability to write technical documentation (platform architecture, strategy, engineering etc.)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Grasp the big picture, while still delivering on the details.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience driving the adoption of release automation through self-service pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, manage, and complete project deliverables
  • A good communicator who can inspire their team to help them understand the mission
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
