We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations at our convenience store. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive retail management expertise. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient store operations to meet business goals and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Lead by example and MUST have excellent customer service with team members and our customers.
MUST have previous experience in the same field and should have long standing capabilities
Must have excellent knowledge about the store management and MUST be able to run the store efficiently.
Lead and motivate store staff through effective team management, training, and development initiatives.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Manage inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and stock replenishment to optimize product availability and sales.
Handle cashiering duties, POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy.
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase retail sales and improve store performance.
Conduct interviews, employee orientation, and recruiting efforts to build a skilled team.
Monitor sales data, retail math, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth.
Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Manage budgeting tasks related to store expenses and operational costs.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and store policies.
Experience
Proven management or supervisory experience in retail or grocery store environments.
Strong background in retail sales, inventory management, POS systems, merchandising, and cash handling.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and employee supervision.
Familiarity with retail math, pricing strategies, budgeting, marketing, and promotional activities.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
Prior experience in recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks is preferred. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a busy convenience store while developing their managerial skills within a supportive team environment.
