Hourly Manager on Duty (MOD) - Operations & Front Office Supervision

Job Summary:


We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and experienced Hourly MOD to oversee daily hotel operations, with a strong focus on front office, housekeeping, and maintenance team supervision. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining Motel 6 brand standards in a fast-paced economy hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee daily front desk operations, working a minimum of

2 desk shifts per week

Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including

direct leadership of housekeeping and maintenance teams

Provide operational support and direction to Maintenance Technicians and Housekeeping staff Conduct

room inspections, departure checks, and safety audits

to ensure consistent quality and compliance with brand standards Manage daily

cash handling, bank deposits, and inventory control

procedures Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing hotel team members to uphold Motel 6 service and cleanliness standards Maintain and manage supply and equipment inventories for all departments Be available on-call for shift coverage, emergencies, and urgent operational needs Collaborate with and report directly to the

Regional Manager

, ensuring alignment with business and service goals

Qualifications:



Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience

in hotel operations, preferably within the

economy or limited-service hotel segment

Strong understanding of both

front desk and housekeeping/maintenance workflows

Experience with

cash handling, shift audits, and deposit preparation

Effective leadership, communication, and team-building skills Ability to

multi-task, prioritize, and adapt

in a high-volume, fast-paced setting Customer-service driven with a strong sense of accountability and reliability High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality or management training is a plus

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
