Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Maitre d' to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are filled in an efficient manner. Handle reservations and walk-in guests while maintaining an organized waitlist. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow. Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or providing information as needed. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest relations. Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of hospitality are met.

Qualifications

Previous Maitre d' or conceirge or host/host or restaurant experience is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS or Toast POS is a plus. Experience in food service or hospitality environments is desirable. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
