Summary: Full-Time Position (Mandatory weekends)

The Maintenance Worker/Custodial Worker is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Director in all maintenance and housekeeping duties. The candidate must be flexible, courteous, and able to handle several projects at once. Professional interactions with residents is a must.

Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists the Maintenance Director with building upkeep, repair, and maintain neat, clean interiors and exteriors. Take part in in-service education and attend all in-service sessions as required. Must have basic skills and understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and basic carpentry. Ensure safe handling and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools and equipment. Daily check for work orders. Assist with daily work orders which include, but not limited to: changing bulbs, cleaning carpets, defrosting refrigerators, moving furniture, painting, emptying trash, wiring TV cables, hanging pictures, and apartment turnovers. Assist with housekeeping

General Requirements:

The ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
