Job Description

JOB PURPOSE


This position is responsible for upkeep and repair of company equipment, building maintenance, and some structural components.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Perform periodic maintenance on all company equipment. Assists Maintenance Supervisor with electrical repairs and projects, not requiring a licensed electrician. Assist on repairing lift and forklift equipment. Basic building maintenance and repair. Drives "heavy equipment" as necessary Performs preventative building maintenance, including painting, simple carpentry, and daily equipment inspections. Assists Used Parts department as necessary in moving, storing, arranging used parts or machinery. Builds, moves, or disassembles rack and storage area as needed. Designated as "lock out; tag out" qualified.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

Technical


Knowledge of electrical motor systems and electrical wiring. Ability to perform oil changes and basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Ability to complete framing, dry wall repair, and door repair. Knowledge of basic plumbing Ability to use a tape measure, and calipers.
Physical


Ability to frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop, and/or reach. Ability to lift/carry 70 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the time 1-100 times a day). Ability to stand and walk throughout the day. Ability to work in all types of weather environments. Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical capacity test.
Other


Ability to bring or acquire a basic tool set within the first 90 days of employment (Basic tool list is available upon request and a tool program is available to help offset cost). Able to work alone or with minimal supervision. Ability to problem solve and/or troubleshoot. Willingness to work in all kinds of weather. Willingness to work at height (after in house certification) when use of a scissor lift is necessary. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Must be at least 18 years of age.
