We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Duties
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Execute welding tasks for structural repairs or equipment fabrication as needed.
Assist with residential painting projects to maintain facility aesthetics and upkeep.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions.
Operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
Supervise or assist in supervising other maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs.
Support manufacturing or facilities operations by maintaining machinery uptime and safety standards.
Perform general custodial duties related to facilities maintenance to ensure a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors.
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests or safety hazards identified during inspections.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and safety checks.
Experience
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within manufacturing or residential settings.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repairing various types of equipment.
Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting circuits, and working with PLCs is highly desirable.
Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters is essential.
Experience with welding techniques for structural or equipment repairs.
Knowledge of CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance logs.
Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and external vendors in a professional manner.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately in order to perform precise repairs.
Proficiency in English for clear communication both verbally and in writing.
