GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Assist in maintaining guest rooms, guest pools and pool areas, building and equipment throughout the hotel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Basic knowledge of general repairs and maintenance Ability to maintain and/or obtain any government required licenses, certificates or permits Basic knowledge of chemical handling Previous hospitality experience preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to: carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting etc. Complete daily assigned tasks from project list Work closely with contractors on repairs and capital projects Maintain preventative maintenance on in-house equipment Understand hotel policies and departmental processes and follow them accordingly

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests Assist other maintenance associates in maintaining clean and organized work areas and public areas Enforce hotel safety standards Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by management

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Lifting of 40lbs or greater and ability to push and pull up to 250lbs Bend, squat and lift up to 15lbs or more on a continuing basis Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment Must be able to work in a stressful, high-pressure, fast-paced environment Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
