REPORTS TO Shop Foreman GRADE MTRE



PURPOSE



This position is responsible for assisting in the operations of the department.An individual in this position will be expected to perform additionaljob-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or is necessary.



ACCOUNTABILITIES



Conduct inventory cycle counts and ensurean adequate supply of tires and related parts.



Inspect and test tires to ensure conformance to standards.



Perform all necessary tire repairs and tire balancing.



Manage the disposition of all off-tiresat the assigned facility.



Assistin conducting assigned shop scrap analysis.



Operate and maintainhand/power tools, balancing equipment, and other specialized automotive tools and machinery.



Provide training to all technicians on industry best practices.



Practice safety methods in the operation of equipment and performance of duties.



Responsible for maintaininga clean and safe work environment.



Operate independently and as a team member.



QUALIFICATIONS



Experience in the tire maintenance field.



Experienced in tire wear, mounting/dismounting using hand tools, and maintainingstocking levels.



Organizational skills (Lean thinking process organization)



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS



Vendor-sponsoredtraining in mounting/dismounting, tire repair, valve stem replacement, and balancing tires.



Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.



Ability to work in a team environment, to continuously improve results.



Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.



EDUCATION



High School Diploma or GED.
