full-time Maintenance Technician
to join our team and support a portfolio of industrial and self-storage properties across Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for day-to-day property maintenance, preventive upkeep, and repair projects across our commercial real estate portfolio. This role works in conjunction with Maintenance and Property Managers to respond to tenant service requests, perform emergency repairs, and overall preventive maintenance of properties as well as support new construction and tenant fit-outs. This position is a traveling position which requires much self-direction and initiative. This position will report to base location then travel using company vehicle to various locations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general building maintenance, including:
Electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry
+ HVAC preventive maintenance
+ Doors, gates, latches, and access systems
+ Roof cleaning and basic structural assessments
+ Storage unit repairs (caulking, sealants, drywall, framing, hanging doors) Facility Management and understanding of mechanical systems
Perform general cleaning of interior and exterior spaces
Collaborate with Property Managers to address service requests promptly
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in general building maintenance, equipment maintenance, or construction methods
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record
Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and safety practices across multiple trades
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Professional demeanor with strong communication and customer service skills
Strong work ethic and uses time productively to accomplish challenging work goals.
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the mechanical and building trades (OSHA).
Experience with gates and access control systems a plus
