Current Openings -1st and 2nd shift maintenance

Electronic automotive manufacturer located in St. Charles, IL where they manufacturer and distribute OEM electronic parts for the automotive industry. They are direct suppliers for the biggest automotive manufacturers today, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Hyundai, etc. These parts are manufactured onsite in state of the art cleanroom environment. The parts manufactured include power window switches, push-to-start buttons, power seat controls, car entertainment console with AC/Heat controls, etc. Cleanroom has over 20+ machines, each with one operator at the helm, responsible for the continuous flow of production to ensure that the parts are being assembled via machine correctly. Candidates will be responsible for running automated machinery to ensure that manufacturing procedures are carried out. Nidec has three departments within the production cleanroom that support different electronic components:

The maintenance team consistently works 8 hour days minimum and the hours range from 5:15AM-1:30PM (1st shift) And generally work longer days for overtime to complete daily assignments. Hours 1:30PM-9:30PM (2nd shift) with working longer days to complete daily assignments.

Under direction of the Maintenance Technician Supervisor, performs various skilled and complex tasks in the repair and maintenance of production machinery and equipment which may include, but is not limited to, high speed automated assembly line equipment, contact welding and press machines, robotic coil winders, axial and radial inserters, wave soldering machines, and SMT equipment. Responsible to continuously improve the equipment and machinery while demonstrating excellence in maintenance service.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee consistently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Breaks/Lunches:

• Candidates will have a 30-minute (unpaid) lunch and (2) 15-minute breaks throughout their shift.

Over Time:

• Current employees are working 8-10 hours of overtime each week. This is not mandatory but is encouraged given the high volume of projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of automated assembly

• Ability to read, write, and speak English

• Comfortable standing for 8 hours a day

• Comfortable working in GMP environment and wearing hair net and gown. (Even masks currently)

• Great attendance / proven track record (validate via reference)

Nice Haves:

• 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience

• Previous experience working within the automotive industry
