Maintenance Technician (residential)
Job Description
Key Property Management is seeking a Full-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. The candidate for this position will travel between 3 sites that are all very close to each other, approximately a 5-mile radius.
The responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:
Perform daily maintenance of apartments, grounds, parking lots, and common areas, including snow removal during snowy months
Custodial duties as assigned.
General repairs - including electrical, carpentry, sidewalk, and parking lot.
Painting
Cleaning
Carpets
Appliance troubleshooting
Safety systems
Plumbing
Prepare units for new move-ins
Assist in preparation for government inspections with an emphasis on site health and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
Work with the Property Manager to identify janitorial and maintenance-related and capital improvement activities.
Initiate, perform, and/or oversee janitorial and maintenance projects.
Perform apartment turnovers, repairs, grounds maintenance, and overall upkeep on a large property.
Perform on-call emergency maintenance duties
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, concurrent maintenance activities.
Work with Property Manager to meet and exceed the needs of the apartment community.
Qualifications
Proficient in English with strong mechanical knowledge, Bilingual in Spanish is helpful, but not required Experience in facilities maintenance and general residential maintenance tasks Background in customer service Ability to work independently Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
